Opaque Yard Signs Corrugated Plastic Yard Signs | 4mm Opaque Coroplast Signs

Description for Opaque Yard Signs

Direct sun can make yard signs hard to read, as they are slightly translucent. This leads to bleed thru from the other side of the sign. With our opaque 4mm coroplast signs for sale, the second side is sealed from the first side, making reading this corrugated plastic yard sign easier, even in direct light.

BEST USE CASES
Recycling
Coroplast, which is a brand of corrugated plastic made from polypropylene, is recyclable. It can be recycled similarly to other polypropylene products, where the material is collected, cleaned, shredded, and melted down to create new plastic items. However, the recyclability of Coroplast depends on local recycling programs, as not all facilities accept polypropylene or rigid plastics. It's essential to check with your local recycling center to see if they accept Coroplast for recycling.

What is Image Quality how to I make my images print as best as possible.
Answers

  • Image quality is part art, part science. Generally, low resolution website pictures look terrible on signs. Web pages need to load quickly, so people visiting a page don't leave the organization's website. If high definition pictures are on the page, the page will load slowly. Thus, nearly every internet picture you find on a storefront or news page is low definition. It might look good at 2' x 2', but will look terrible at 12' tall. Before uploading a picture, zoom in. Is it grainy? Does the edge look crisp? If not sure, email us the image, let us know how big you want it, and we will let you know if it will look good enough to be persuasive. Sometimes, for a small fee, we can use commercial software to improve the quality. Files that are 100 kilobytes (kb) or less, even up to 1000 kb, are often too low quality to use on all but the smallest signs or decals.

Google Images has the ability to display only high definition pictures- play with the settings. However, that does not mean you are legally allowed to use the image. Make sure before you use it. Often, people are honored to have someone use their picture, and say yes, if you ask nicely.

Modern camera phones take excellent images if you choose the highest quality setting. Likewise, tablets can take great pictures, usable for signage products.

This means we will do our best to get as close as possible to your requested color(s). If you are ordering screen printed signs or shirts, we can certainly provide Pantone PMS color matching. Additional fees may apply. Call for details.

  • Bandit signs or yard signs, in general, do not fare well in high winds. They become very similar to sails and catch wind very easily. It is recommended that they be temporarily taken down in the event of a storm.

  • There are many theories about this subject, but here are a few rules of thumb to follow when choosing your sign size. A common rule of thumb for optimal viewing distance is 1” of letter height for every 10 feet of viewing distance. For example, if you have 8” letters, the maximum optimal viewing distance is 80 feet. However, your text is legible from beyond this distance. Typically, it can be viewed up to 3 times the optimal distance. For our previous example, those same 8” letters are technically legible from 240 feet. This distance will vary based on many factors including but not limited to environment, person viewing, letter style, color, lighting, etc.

If you keep your message simple, clear and easy to read, you are likely to get the best results. We are available to give advice if you need it. Just be ready to answer some basic questions like viewing distance, etc. We are here to help you make the most of your purchase!

  • Since we are based in Tampa, Florida, we know from experience that the sun’s UV rays can take their toll on printed ink. Even with direct sun exposure, our lawn signs can easily last for 12 months, even longer if not in direct sunlight.

  • Yes, our corrugated plastic yard sign material is rated for outdoor use. If left outside all the time, it will shorten the life of the product, but you can still expect to get 1-2 years out of it before the sun begins to degrade the material. The only time you would want to bring them inside is during a storm or high winds.

  • It is best to stack your signs vertically with the corrugated flutes facing up. Stacking them on top of each other could lead to the ink scratching or peeling off. The signs should also be stored in a cool, dry place.

  • There are a few options available for our yard signs. The most popular option is our standard 10” x 30” steel step stake or “H” stake. The metal stake has two prongs on either end. One end gets placed into the bottom of the signs. The pegs fit perfectly and snuggly inside the corrugations of the plastic sign. The other two prongs on the other side get placed into the ground. The stake also has two horizontal bars to stabilize the base and the bottom bar can be stepped on carefully to help guide the stake into the ground. Other options include inserting the signs into real estate frames, nailing them to posts or fences or adding grommets to your sign and attaching them to something like a fence with zip ties or twine.

  • Yes, we have two different printing methods for our corrugated plastic yard signs. We offer screen printing for high volume, one and two color sign orders. For more than two colors or in you are only ordering a small amount (typically under 100 signs for 18” x 24” signs), we print your signs digitally and you can print as many colors are you want, including photographic images. As you add more colors, the price increases. We have 4 pricing tiers. One, two, three and full color.

  • When ordering printed yard signs, yes, if you are using the price calculator on the page, it is going to include our standard 30” x 10” stakes. If you do not need them, you can simply remove them from your quote. If you need an amount different than your yard signs, you can add them separately, or adjust the quantity once they are added to your cart.

  • Although they have many names, the most common being yard signs, they are also referred to as bandit signs or lawn signs. No matter what you call them, the most common material they are made from is 4mm (3/16”) corrugated plastic. Think of what cardboard looks like, but made from an outdoor durable plastic instead of brown paperboard.

What resources are available for high resolution artwork?

Answers

  • This is the trickiest part of getting your signs or decals to look great. Starting with the highest definition image is the best way to end with something that look fantastic. Our culture is used to high def, so when we see something that is fuzzy, we often associate it with low quality. Our best recommendations to start with high definition imagery:

    1) Use a premium service like Shutterstock.com to purchase a high definition image, then upload it to us. Services like Shutterstock.com have royalty free, images that are often only $10. You can upload it to our design software and add elements to it to complete your signs.

    2) We subscribe to "Freepik.com", with a premium account. If you see an image at the Freeepik.com website that you would like to use, you can email us the photo name and/or number, and we will email it to you for use in your sign.

What kind of image should I use for my Logo?

Answers

  • Ideally, logos will be uploaded as an EPS of SVG file. This allows precise color instructions, sharp line work, a perfect logo. Most businesses have their logo's saved as a vector file (.eps, .ai, .svg). This is the way to upload files to get a precise result.
