BEST USE CASES
Recycling
Coroplast, which is a brand of corrugated plastic made from polypropylene, is recyclable. It can be recycled similarly to other polypropylene products, where the material is collected, cleaned, shredded, and melted down to create new plastic items. However, the recyclability of Coroplast depends on local recycling programs, as not all facilities accept polypropylene or rigid plastics. It's essential to check with your local recycling center to see if they accept Coroplast for recycling.

  • Bandit signs or yard signs, in general, do not fare well in high winds. They become very similar to sails and catch wind very easily. It is recommended that they be temporarily taken down in the event of a storm.

  • Yes, our corrugated plastic yard sign material is rated for outdoor use. If left outside all the time, it will shorten the life of the product, but you can still expect to get 1-2 years out of it before the sun begins to degrade the material. The only time you would want to bring them inside is during a storm or high winds.

  • There are a few options available for our yard signs. The most popular option is our standard 10” x 30” steel step stake or “H” stake. The metal stake has two prongs on either end. One end gets placed into the bottom of the signs. The pegs fit perfectly and snuggly inside the corrugations of the plastic sign. The other two prongs on the other side get placed into the ground. The stake also has two horizontal bars to stabilize the base and the bottom bar can be stepped on carefully to help guide the stake into the ground. Other options include inserting the signs into real estate frames, nailing them to posts or fences or adding grommets to your sign and attaching them to something like a fence with zip ties or twine.

  • Our yard signs have an expected outdoor life of 1-2 years under most conditions. Many customers have had their signs last even longer in more ideal conditions. Areas with extreme sun exposure and high winds will reduce the life expectancy of both the print and banner material itself. For areas exposed to medium/high winds, we recommend removing the signs as they will likely be damaged or fly away in a storm.

  • Although they have many names, the most common being yard signs, they are also referred to as bandit signs or lawn signs. No matter what you call them, the most common material they are made from is 4mm (3/16”) corrugated plastic. Think of what cardboard looks like, but made from an outdoor durable plastic instead of brown paperboard.
