Step & Repeat Banner Fabric and Material:
Our Step & Repeat custom banners are made from our standard 13-ounce scrim vinyl, a strong material in which a polyester fabric is embedded between two scrim vinyl layers, allowing for less susceptibility to tearing. The finish is matte, not gloss, for a reason. A gloss finish would be absolutely counterproductive for taking pictures and video, as there would consequentially be a glare. Hence, we provide you with a matte finish, which precludes this from happening. Our Step & Repeat banners come with either grommets or pole pockets included in the price. We recommend pole pockets for use with a stand, as there may not be a place to hang your banner in locations you will be displaying it.
Durability and Care:
Since Step & Repeat banners are typically used for events, they can last for many years under the right conditions. For optimal longevity, these custom-made banners should be rolled carefully and stored in a cool, dry place. If folded for long periods of time, the material can crease, and the print can become damaged. Should your banner get creased or wrinkled, we do have some good news for you. They do come out pretty easily. If you have the space and the weather allows, lay your banner flat on the ground in direct sunlight, and the wrinkles should go away within a couple hours. Another alternative is to use a hair dryer; just be careful not to let the material get too hot.
Piggybacking on putting your banner outside to take wrinkles out, know that your promotional piece can become an outdoor banner in calm weather. This type of setting can provide for some wonderful ambient light. But be careful not to exhibit your banner for a lengthy time or too often in areas with extreme sun exposure like we get here in Florida. Additionally, high winds will reduce the life expectancy of both the print and banner material itself. The bottom line is that they work better as an indoor banner.
When cleaning your Step & Repeat vinyl banner (which shouldn’t be too often if displaying solely at indoor locations), use warm water on a wet cloth or rag. Refrain from using any harsh chemicals to clean your banner, as you could ruin your print.
Use care when removing the fabric banner from the pole set where the adjustable portions of the poles are located to avoid ripping the pole pockets.
